Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access and use of Scorefold ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Scorefold is a B2C rating aggregation platform. We collect publicly available ratings across the web, compute our own aggregate score, and present source links, short excerpts ("snippets"), and an overview ("summary"). The aggregate score and summary are produced by us — they are not official ratings, endorsements, or statements by any brand, product, place, or external party.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Registration is free; access to rating checks requires an active paid subscription. We do not offer free trials, demo checks, or complimentary fresh queries.
3. Subscriptions & billing
Paid access is sold as a monthly subscription, billed in advance through PayPal Subscriptions. Prices, included fresh-check limits, and plan features are shown at checkout and may change for future billing periods; we will notify you where required by law. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method on each renewal date. Unused fresh checks expire at the end of each billing period and do not roll over. Completed checks remain in your personal cache for 14 days. Refunds are not offered except where mandatory law requires otherwise — see our Refund & Billing Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You may use the Service only for lawful personal or internal business research within your subscription limits. You may not scrape, bulk-export, or resell our data or API output; circumvent access controls or paywalls; use automated tools to overload the Service; misrepresent our scores as official brand ratings; or use results to harass, defame, or harm third parties. Full rules are in our Acceptable Use Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference.
5. Linked content & sources
The Service links to and references external websites and services. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or responsible for those sources unless we explicitly state otherwise. Snippets are short excerpts for identification. Summaries are our own overviews and may omit, simplify, or misstate information from any source. You must verify information on the original source before making decisions.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including our aggregate scoring methodology, software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. Third-party names, logos, and content remain the property of their respective owners. We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose during an active subscription. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.
7. Informational content only
Scores, snippets, summaries, and all other content on the Service are for general information only. They may contain errors or omissions. They are not professional, legal, financial, medical, or purchase advice. You use the Service and rely on any content at your own risk and must independently verify facts before acting.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, RELIABILITY, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. We do not guarantee that any score, snippet, summary, source link, or third-party data is current, correct, or complete. See our Disclaimer for additional limitations.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE OR ANY CONTENT ON IT — INCLUDING AGGREGATE SCORES, SUMMARIES, SNIPPETS, AND THIRD-PARTY LINKS — WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE LESSER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SINGLE BILLING PERIOD IN WHICH THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD 10. IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID US, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY IS USD 0 TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR DISSATISFACTION WITH THE SERVICE IS TO STOP USING IT AND CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE TERMS. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us and our affiliates, officers, employees, and suppliers harmless from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: your use or misuse of the Service; your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy; your infringement of third-party rights; or any decision you make based on scores, summaries, snippets, or other content.
11. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, our Acceptable Use Policy, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account or PayPal autopay settings; access continues until the end of the paid period. Termination or cancellation does not entitle you to a refund except where mandatory law requires otherwise. Upon termination, provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) remain in effect.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Israel shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence grants you the non-waivable right to bring claims in your local courts. If you are an EU consumer, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes will be notified where required by law. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
